Why should you use more than one camera?

By using a multi-camera setup it is possible to have a variety of angles available for the Vision Mixer/ Director to cut to live. This is particularly useful to capture reaction shots and questions from the audience, without having to reposition live on shot as would have to be done with a single camera. This results in a professional and flowing programme where the viewer becomes more involved, creating a deeper understanding of the event.
